GEO for exporters

How Chinese B2B exporters can become easier for AI search to find and quote.

GEO is not a magic ranking channel. For exporters, the useful version is simpler: make the business clear enough that AI answer engines can understand the offer, cite proof, and route buyers to the next step.

    Start from buyer questions

Overseas buyers do not ask AI for a vendor slogan. They ask specific questions: which supplier can handle my category, which proof should I check, what risks matter, and who is credible enough to contact.

    • Map category, compliance, capacity, and pricing questions.
    • Separate early research questions from shortlist questions.
    • Use the questions as the structure for public pages.

    Turn claims into quotable proof

AI systems need concrete statements they can reuse. Exporters should turn generic claims like quality and experience into named capabilities, standards, examples, photos, process notes, and buyer-facing constraints.

    • State product categories and target markets in plain language.
    • Publish proof that can be cited without a sales call.
    • Avoid overclaiming automated ranking or guaranteed AI recommendations.

    Connect visibility to leads

A useful GEO page should not end at education. It should point the buyer to a clear next action: request a quote, send specs, book a qualification call, or ask for a sample.

    • Match each question cluster to one CTA.
    • Keep forms short and context-aware.
    • Track the lead source so learning can compound.
For exporters, GEO should make the company easier to understand before the first email, not add another vague marketing acronym.
